Wow, really?! Siriusly…

Even as a child this part drove me insane.. HOW COULD IT BE ANYTHING ELSE? I mean unless they were expecting a broom shaped book?

Hahaha, no kidding.

I always write it off as his not believing that someone would be so kind to send him a broomstick.  Plus we’re talking magic world, so it may have been a spell.
That’s how I justify it because it bothers me too.  So I always choose to find a way to explain buggy things in movies.

Really?  This bothers you?
I don’t know, maybe it is just me and I am the only foolish person in the world, but there have been many a time in shock I have outright stated the obvious.  The shock can be in joy or disappointment.  Sometimes I just state the obvious because I have no idea what else to say.
Just last week, I came in the house from walking our three dogs, and said, “It’s raining.”  As if the dark clouds, sound of rain on the windows and the fact that the dogs and I were dripping wet was not enough to signal anyone else to the weather situation.
To me, the occasional stating of the obvious, is life.  So I don’t see it as buggy or something that requires analyzing.  The really amazing thing about the Harry Potter stories to me, is that J.K. Rowling did a damn fine job of really depicting the hardships of growing up and hitting puberty and all the foibles that come with that.  She just described it all taking place in a magical world.
Sometimes over thinking ruins stuff.  I am 33 and still state the obvious.  I did it much more frequently when I was 13-14.  It’s not a fuck up.  It’s just a part of life.
